Ethics & Integrity Training

On Jan. 1, 2002, the Catholic Diocese of Austin instituted policies on Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) for all employees and those volunteers who minister to youth or vulnerable adults in the diocese. These policies were revised in August 2008. All clergy and paid staff, and all volunteers working with youth and vulnerable adults, at any parish or diocesan location, are required to complete an Application for Ministry AND are required to attend an EIM workshop every three years. In fact, almost every adult comes into contact with young children or seniors at some time!

Below, you will see our Adult Faith Formation Calendar - the most current information on our Ethics and Integrity in Ministry Workshops and Refresher Workshops is listed below. Click on a class to get information on times and location at SJN. Then, call the parish office for a reservation. If you are looking for a course on a different date somewhere within the Diocese of Austin, please visit the diocesan EIM website, and then follow any instructions on how to register (if needed) at that particular location.

*Please note that the Diocese of Austin will not take credit for the workshop if you arrive late (after the doors are closed). We want you to receive credit, so please give yourself a little extra time to arrive at the start of the course.
